Man steals native doctor's wallet and this shocking thing happened (Photo)
A strange story has emerged in Ghana where a thief who stole a wallet from a native doctor was shocked when the item turned into a dangerous snake in his hands. The thief who tried to extricate the reptile from his hand to no avail reportedly went to the owner of the wallet and confessed what he did.
According to Adom Online, the incident left people baffled after they watched as a wallet turned into a deadly cobra in the hands of the thief as a result of black magic.
It was gathered that the 27-year-old thief identified only as Mdu, had snatched the wallet from the owner, not knowing that he was playing with fire as the owner is a known witch doctor, and when he tried to open it to see what he got for his efforts, the wallet turned into a cobra that wrapped itself around his hand.
An eyewitness revealed that the terrified thief tracked the native doctor who was about to board a taxi and confessed that he stole his wallet and wanted to return it.
“He stole a wallet from an old man; people around are just saying the old man is a Sangoma (native doctor), but no one knows the man around. When he snatched the wallet he went behind a billboard; that’s when the wallet turned into a snake.
Now he tracked the man and found him but the problem is the old fellow is denying his wallet. He even produced a pouch like a wallet as proof to show that the snake wallet wasn’t his.
The snake is not biting him but it's stuck in his hands as he failed to throw it way; this is first-grade black magic."
"The police just come after a commotion but they ignored the case. I am not sure what he is thinking right now but if the owner denies the wallet, they will have to visit a popular local sangoma to cast out the spell,” the witness said.

Saudi: Nigeria To Protest Seizure Of Pilgrims’ E-Wristband
Nigeria is to protest the seizure of electronic wristbands taken to Saudi Arabia for use by its pilgrims.
The Consulate-General, Nigeria Consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Muhammad Yunusa, said this at the post Arafat meeting organised by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) yesterday in Makkah.
The wristbands were introduced by NAHCON to monitor each pilgrim’s movement and facilitate easy identification where the need arises.
However, thousands of the items were seized at the airport in Madinah by security officials and all entreaties by Nigerian officials for release fell on deaf ears.
Following this, NAHCON suspended the use of the wristbands by the pilgrims rendering the project useless.
Mr. Yunusa said the action of Saudi authorities ran counter to the understanding reached by the two governments before the introduction of the wristbands.
He said the embassy had in February informed the Saudi government of Nigeria’s plan to introduce the wristbands and this was followed up in July.
“This action is unfriendly, undiplomatic and we are going to protest against it,” he said.
The diplomat urged state officials of pilgrims welfare agencies to caution their drivers against reckless driving, saying it was giving Nigeria a bad image.
Earlier, the Charge d’Affairs of Nigeria to Saudi Arabia, Salisu Umar, commended NAHCON for a hitch free pilgrimage.
He appealed to officials to start preparing early for next year’s pilgrimage to make it better.

Oshiomhole Comes For Wike Again, Says I Am The Boss, Learn How To Talk To Me
Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, yesterday threw another jab at Governor Nyesom Wike of River State, asking him to face governance in his state and pay the salaries of workers, instead of squandering the peoples’ slim resources on an election the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is bound to lose.
Governor Oshiomhole’s attack on Wike is the latest in the exchange of brickbats between the governors ahead of the September 28 governorship election in the state.
Oshiomhole said it was laughable for Governor Wike to have some level of effrontery to talk about governance when he (Wike) has been unable to pay the state’s workers’ salaries for several months.
He urged Governor Wike to learn how to talk him, “that is performing and up-to-date with payment of salaries and not one, whose noise alone can cause further pollution in a Rivers environment that was already degraded.”
Oshiomhole also advised Wike to spend the money he planned to spend for the PDP in Edo State to pay the backlog of salaries owed civil servants in River State.
Speaking through the State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Prince Kassim Afegbua, Oshiomhole stated that there was no reason why Governor Wike would waste the people’s resources on Edo election out of sheer desperation to acquire regional powers.
According to him, “In the circle of governance, where men are truly called men, someone like Governor Wike cannot muster any courage to be called a man when he has continuously held Rivers workers in scorn without paying them their due salaries and emoluments.
“Even though Edo State is not as economically viable as Rivers State, we do not only pay our workers salaries, we have since increased our workers minimum wages from N18,000 to N25,000.
“That this salary increase is happening at a time when Governor Wike is lamenting over paucity of funds should explain in greater details our uncommon creativity and prudent management of resources.
“The last time we visited Rivers State, we were appalled by the plights of Rivers workers whose lamentations Governor Wike has consistently ignored. Our piece of advice to him as a younger brother was to properly guide him so he doesn’t go astray by the temptations of an election that his party is bound to lose.
“Rather than waste Rivers people’s money, keep Rivers people’s money for them. He should be reminded that Edo voters are not gullible like voters elsewhere and their level of sophistication would make the September 28th election a smooth sail for the All Progressives Congress. It is our responsibility to caution Governor Wike before he exports his gangsterism to Edo State.”

Father Admits Beating His Child To Death Because He Was Jealous Of The Attention She Got After Surviving Eye Cancer
A New York father has pleaded guilty to killing his toddler daughter, who was an eye cancer survivor, with a wooden baseball bat before burning her body and dumping her remains in an upstate waterway.
Ryan Lawrence, 25, pleaded guilty Thursday to first-degree murder in a plea deal with Onondaga County prosecutors. Lawrence admitted beating to death his 21-month-old daughter Maddox outside Syracuse in February.
Authorities say he burned the girl's body in a fire pit, then tied the remains to a cinder block that he dumped in Onondaga Creek in Syracuse. The child's body was found by police divers about 36 hours after an Amber Alert was issued for the missing child.
Authorities issued an Amber Alert for Maddox on February 21 after Lawrence disappeared with her.
Maddox's mother, Morgan Lawrence, told police her husband was supposed to pick her up from her job at the Destiny USA shopping mall the night of February 20 but instead left the car and keys for her in a parking lot.
When she returned home, Morgan Lawrence said, she found a message from him that indicated he might harm Maddox and himself.
She called police, touching off the Amber Alert and a massive search by several law enforcement agencies.
On February 22, police got a call from a thrift shop employee who recognized Ryan Lawrence in the shop in Baldwinsville, 10 miles northwest of Syracuse, authorities said.
Police found Lawrence walking on a nearby street, wearing a disguise, and took him into custody, they said. He confessed and led authorities to his daughter's body, TWC News reported.
Maddox had already beaten eye cancer, CBS 5 reported.
Onondaga County District Attorney Bill Fitzpatrick the station in February that 'she had been fighting a very unusual form of cancer, and all indications were that she was successful.
'But it was expensive, the treatment, and it was time-consuming. If that contributed to her demise, I don't know.'
Fitzpatrick told the station at the time: 'Without going into too much detail, [Ryan Lawrence's] statements allude to almost a sense of jealousy about the attention that this child was getting, as opposed to the attention that he was getting.'
Prosecutors say the baby's family agreed to the plea deal. Lawrence will be sentenced next month to 25 years to life in prison.

Mr. Shema “went to submit himself to the EFCC even though the agency has not been fair to him in handling his case,” Mr. Olawale said.

Buhari Tells NYSC Corps Members In Daura ''Tell Your People To Forget Biafra''
President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday in Daura called on Nigerian youths to make the country great again through pursuit of knowledge, patriotism and commitment to values that promote national unity.
Receiving over 100 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in Daura local government area, in his residence, President Buhari pledged his unalloyed commitment to the unity and prosperity of Nigeria.
He urged them to remain focused in life, pursue their dreams and reject those fanning embers of discord and disintegration of Nigeria.
The President, who specially recognised corps members from the Niger Delta and South-Eastern states serving in Daura, praised the vision of former President Yakubu Gowon in setting up the scheme in 1973.
The President said the scheme had creditably promoted national unity and cohesion by exposing young people to the uniqueness and cultural diversity of Nigeria.
“I asked for those from the other extreme of Nigeria because I very much appreciate the NYSC scheme and whenever I see General Gowon, I always thank him for that”, he declared.
Speaking specifically to corps members from the South Eastern states,
the President said: “Tell your colleagues who want Biafra to forget about it.’’
“As a military commander, I walked from Degem, a border town between the north and the east, to the border between Cameroons and Nigeria.
“I walked on my foot for most of the 30 months that we fought the Nigeria-Biafra civil war, in which at least 2 million Nigerians were killed.
“We were made by our leaders to go and fight Biafra not because of money or oil, because oil was not critical factor then, but because of one Nigeria.
“So if leaderships at various levels failed, it was not the fault of the rest of Nigerians who have no quarrel with one another.
“So please tell your colleagues that we must be together to build this country. It is big enough for us and potentially big enough in terms of resources.
”Those who work hard will earn a respectable living. I have seen this country, I fought for this country and I will continue to work for the unity of this country,’’ the President said.
In his remarks, Mr Egbewumi Adebolu, the Corps Liaison Officer in Daura, thanked the President for the honour of receiving them and making their stay in Daura memorable.
He said the youths strongly believed in the programme of the President to reduce unemployment and create jobs for more Nigerians.
Adebolu thanked the President for his personal gifts of cows, bags of rice and cash to corps members in the community for Salah celebration.

Doctor Accused Of Using His Own Sperm in Fertility Treatments
A retired Indianapolis fertility doctor used his own sperm to impregnate at least eight mothers decades ago and admitted to six now-adult children to doing so, court documents say.
Dr. Donald Cline faces two felony obstruction of justice charges for misleading authorities who were investigating two of the children's complaints against him.
He surrendered in court on Monday.
The 77-year-old suburban Zionsville man told the six adults that he had donated his own sperm about 50 times, a probable cause affidavit says.
His patients were told they were receiving sperm from medical residents or students.
Cline is accused of being the biological father of at least eight people. The youngest would be about 30.
The six adults conceived through Cline's clinic in the 1970s and 1980s discovered they were siblings born to the same biological father through online DNA tests, Fox59 reported.
The siblings met with Cline in the spring of this year and he told them that he had used his own sperm when a donor was not available, according to court documents.
He also told them that he had kept records of which patients received his sperm but all of those have since been destroyed since Indiana only required medical records be kept for seven years.
He didn't consider himself to be fathering children, but helping families unable to conceive, Cline said in an interview with Fox.
His attorney is expected to release a statement on Monday afternoon.
He was released on his own recognizance and a hearing is scheduled for next month.

Michelle Obama on Tuesday co-hosted Ellen DeGeneres show and has revealed what her daughters will miss most about life in the White House.
“It’s really the people, “Think about it: The girls have grown up in the White House. I mean, the staff that’s there – we see them every day. These are people who have helped us raise our kids. They’ve loved us. They’ve taken care of us. The minute we leave, that’s it.” “I’m sure the girls will have a tough time,They think they’re ready, but when you’ve grown up in a place … I mean, imagine: They won’t be able to knock on a door and say, ‘Can I see my room?’ That’s not gonna happen.”
“We’re trying to have them step back and really appreciate the walk on the South Lawn, sitting on the Truman Balcony. I mean, we just want to keep creating some memories for them as well.”
After the president leaves office in January, he and his family will remain in Washington, D.C., where 15-year-old Sasha will finish out high school. Malia, 18, will take a gap year before heading to Harvard in Fall 2017.
“I’m proud of them they’ve really managed this so well,” the first lady said. “I mean, I just love them to death and the big thing I’ve always worried about was making sure that they got out of this whole. I’m just proud that they are poised, smart, intelligent young women.”
Nigerians Eat Too Much Rice, That’s Why It Is Expensive - Audu Ogbeh
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Chief Audu Ogbeh, on Wednesday in Abuja said Nigerian businessmen demanded 2.5 billion dollars (about N492 billion) a week for importation of goods and services into the country.
Ogbeh made this known in a meeting with officials of VICAMPRO, an indigenous Agro Company investing in production of Irish Potato on Wednesday in Abuja.
He said that the ministry was willing to support local investors with capacity to produce goods and save the country’s foreign exchange.
He said that the consumption of rice in the country was rising and that a lot of people were not aware that the rice had some degree of arsenic.
The minister said that consuming rice in large quantity on a regular basis was a bit of health risk, adding that substituting it with potato would be welcomed development. “The volume of importation of virtually everything into this country is too much.
“The demand for dollars in this country as at today is 2.5 billion a week; this is the quantum of dollars Nigerians are asking for to import things.
“Since 1986, we began this habit of importing everything and doing virtually nothing at home to sustain ourselves; now, we do not have the dollars and people are very hungry.
“This day was coming anyway, no matter who was in power; we have the most ridiculous method of devaluing our currency; every week, we auction the dollar and naira goes up.
“We sat and were hoping that by devaluation, we are going to arrive at Eldorado; if we continue like this, it will be a thousand naira to a dollar,’’ he said.

Patience Jonathan writes Magu, says $31.4m was for her medical bills
Former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, has written a letter the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) explicating that the $31.4 million connected to the financial fraud levelled against Mr. Waripamo Dudafa by EFCC was for the payment of the medical bills she incurred in London in 2013.
The monies in a local bank and claimed by Mrs. Jonathan were placed on a No Debit Order in the course of investigations into the financial affairs of Mr. Waripamo Dudafa, who served as Special Adviser on Domestic Affairs to former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Patience Jonathan claimed ownership of the $31.4 million in the affidavit before a Federal High Court in Lagos.
In the affidavit by Sammie Somiari a legal practitioner on behalf of Patience Jonathan claims that it was Dudafa who helped Mrs Patience Jonathan to open the four bank accounts which the EFCC froze.
This made the EFCC to file an amended 17-count against Dudafa and seven others, including the four companies, with the defendants being accused of conspiring to conceal the monies which the EFCC claimed they ought to have known formed parts of the proceeds of an unlawful act.
The former first lady in her letter to the Acting Chairman of the EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Magu by her lawyers, Granville Abibo (SAN) and Co enjoined the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Skye Bank to lift the restriction placed on the accounts.
In the letter Patience Jonathan admitted that the she is the sole signatory to the accounts and the accounts were card-base.
She further went to say that she has been using the account to pay for her medical bill and other personal purposes and that she is a law-abiding citizen.
“It is noteworthy to emphasise that the said accounts, which were in US dollar denomination, were card-based accounts and our client is the sole signatory to these accounts.
“Our client has been operating the said accounts using the cards for her medical bill payments and purchases for her private purposes without any let or hindrance.
“Our client was therefore surprised when the said cards stop functioning on July 7, 2016, or thereabout. Our client immediately, thereupon, contacted Skye Bank Plc through our solicitors.
‘‘It was only then that the bank officials informed our client that the said accounts were placed on a ‘No Debit Order’ following investigations and instruction from your commission and this is without notice to our client by either the bank or the commission.
“It is in the light of the foregoing that we urge you to use your good offices to vacate the ‘No Debit/Freezing Order’ placed on the said accounts.”
“Despite the foregoing, our client, who is a law-abiding citizen, has watched with surprise how efforts are being made surreptitiously to indirectly harass or harangue her and short-change her of her personal funds in breach of her fundamental human rights.
“We urge you sir, to kindly intervene to stop the untoward and wrongful actions of your officials to embarrass, inconvenience and short-change our client.”
Madam Patience Jonathan, on the 17 of February in 2013, had said she died and woke up after seven days during her illness for almost three months.
Patience Jonathan’s testimony.
According to her testimony in 2013 she said she underwent seven surgery operations within one month and the doctors had given up hope on her survival.
“I remember when Chief Obasanjo was the President of the country, I was close to his late wife, Stella. We worshiped together in this chapel.
It was a painful moment for me that time when she (Stella) died and her corpse was brought here. “That was how my corpse would have been brought here.
It was not an easy experience for me. I actually died, I passed out for more than a week. My intestine and tummy were opened. “I am not Lazarus but my experience was similar to his.
My doctors said all hope was lost. “A black doctor in London who is with us in this service was flown in when the situation became critical. It was God himself in His infinite mercy that said I will return to Nigeria. God woke me up after seven days. “I know that some people somehow leaked the information that I was dead.
They are people that I trust and rely on; to them, I was dead and I would never return to the country alive. Some of them even sold my things off. “I won’t say everything here. It is the Lord’s doing that I returned alive.
When God says yes, nobody can say no. “People are always afraid of operation (surgery) but in my own case, while my travail lasted, I was begging for it (surgery) after the third operation because I was going to the theatre everyday.

NNPC,Tinubu,Adenuga,Otedola,Others Owe Nigerian Govt N86.4 Billion
The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) subsidiary, NNPC Retail, along with 22 major and independent petroleum products marketing firms owed the federal government at least N86.4 billion by July 21, 2016.
The debts are in respect of products allocated to the companies by the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC) for distribution over the last 10 years, details seen by this newspaper show.
The documents were filed to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Members of the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN) and the NNPC Retail (mega filling stations) account for about 85 per cent of the debt, while the independent marketers owe the balance.
The major marketers include NNPC Retail (N22.56 billion), Oando (N25.05 billion), Forte Oil (N10.09 billion), Nigerian Independent Petroleum Company (NIPCO) N5.5 billion, Total Oil (N1.42 billion), Conoil (N1.3 billion) and Mobil Oil (N276.95 million).
The independent marketers include Master Energy (N5.5 billion), MRS Oil & Gas (N3.997 billion), Heyden Petroleum (N2.7 billion), Danium Petroleum (N2.35 billion), A&E Petroleum (N1.89 billion), Rahamaniyya Petroleum N1.65 billion), CÃ pital Oil (N1.3 billion), and Amicable Petroleum (N495.35 million).
Others debtors are Aiteo Petroleum (N426.37 million), Honeywell Oil (N40.96 million), DM Kurfi (N36.11 million), Ascon Petroleum (N20.04 million), Azman Oil (N19.35 million), Felande Petroleum (N8.4 million), Sharon Oil (N3.8 million) and Zamson Petroleum (N3.06 million).
The most indebted companies are owned by some of Nigeria’s and Africa’s richest billionaires.
Oando PLC, which owes the largest chunk of N25.05 billion, is owned by Wale Tinubu.
Femi Otedola, another billionaire, owns Forte Oil, which is responsible for N10.09 billion. Conoil is owned by Mike Adenuga, who is also the telecoms company, Globacom. The company is owing N1.3 billion.
The allocation of products to the firms was under the intervention bulk allocation arrangement and intervention truck distribution to marketers by the NNPC marketing and distribution subsidiary from its Suleja, and other products depots across the country.
The arrangements fetched revenues from partnership agreements for products supplied by the PPMC, which the oil marketing firms refused to pay to the government over the years.
Petition for action
A law firm, B. I. Murtala & Co., had petitioned the EFCC, accusing top NNPC and PPMC officials of “abuse of office, economic sabotage, illegal diversion of petroleum products, illicit enrichment and corruption as well as criminal conspiracy”.
The petitioner listed suspected officials it wanted investigated to include the Supervisor and Area Manager, Kaduna Depot of PPMC, Ajabi Hussaini and Rabo Shuaibu respectively, and Manager, Programming & Operations, NNPC, Abuja, Ahmed Tukur Gwarzo.
Others include Executive Directors, Commercial as well as Shared Services, PPMC, Ezecha Justin and Mustapha Muhammad respectively, and Manager, Finance & Accounts, PPMC, Titonenye Kokade.
“There exists a conspiracy between PPMC/NNPC and suspected oil marketers who deliberately withheld huge government revenues in respect of petroleum products received on credit without due payment or remittance into the Federation Account,” the petitioner said.
The law firm alleged the process of allocation and distribution of petroleum products by PPMC/NNPC was fraught with fraud and criminal conspiracies with marketers, leading to massive diversion of government revenues from the federation account.
Following EFCC’s investigations, NNPC Retail paid back over N15.95 billion between July 25 and August 1, 2016, with over N6.62 billion still outstanding. The EFCC also recovered over N5.57 billion from NIPCO, leaving a balance of N1.93 billion.
Other recoveries include N1.2 billion from Master Energy, with N4.31 billion still unpaid; N2.2 billion from MRS Petroleum, which still has N1.75 billion to pay, while Rahamaniyya Oil & Gas repaid N400 million, to leave N1.25 billion unsettled.
The PPMC, through a memo, August 1, 2016, by the NNPC Company Secretary/Legal Adviser, Omoluabi Victor, informed the EFCC of the payments.
IPMAN President, Chinedu Okoronkwo, did not respond to phone calls on Sunday. He also did not respond to a text message.
However, a senior official of the MOMAN, who asked not to be named because of the sensitive nature of the issue, said the relationship between NNPC/PPMC and marketers allowed marketers to owe for a long time without reconciliation and payment.
“Products are supplied and an average of two weeks grace given for payment. Depending on the time of reconciliation, there could be credit and debit here and there. There is no month marketers would not owe NNPC for products supplied.
“There is always overlapping period before reconciliation. But, no marketer would owe for a long period of 10 years without NNPC taking action to recover monies from them,” he said.
The acting General Manager, NNPC Retail, Ibrahim Jumah, who spoke in the same vein, told PREMIUM TIMES although PPMC was one of the major sources for products by NNPC Retail, there was a regular arrangement for reconciliation for payment.
“NNPC Retail has a credit period of two weeks with PPMC. But, from June, we wrote to PPMC and insisted we want to proceed on cash and carry basis. So, we have been paying for products, and sometimes cannot even lift all,” Mr. Jumah, who is also the GM, Finance & Accounts, NNPC Retail,” he said.
“The PPMC is owing us N1.9 billion for coastal products we paid for about two years ago and have not been able to lift. So, they cannot classify us as indebted to them.”
The spokesperson for Forte Oil, Sam Ogbogoro, asked for time till Monday to respond to
PREMIUM TIMES enquiry, as he would need to consult with officials of the company familiar with the facts of the case before responding.
He did not revert at the time of this report.

After the act, the pastor allegedly attempted to rape the victim but she reportedly shouted for help and managed to escape.
Pastor Edmond Kakrae Agyei has provisionally been charged for indecent assault and breach of trust.

*She should removed his dentition with blows the minute his hands even neared there....Irritating!
Emir Of Kano Says ''Some Rich Nigerians Live On Bank Loans
The Emir of Kano, Muhammed Sanusi II, has condemn some Nigerians who showcase wealth , saying some of them live on loans from banks.
Sanusi, who took to his twitter handle, said, “There are supposedly rich Nigerians who have everything about them financed by bank debts.”
The tweet reads, “Look at sovereign debt fueling growth. If you take the example of an individual. You happen to know bank MDs and you can make a few phone calls and get loans. You borrow N1 billion here today and build a very nice mansion in Abuja. You borrow another N1 billion and let your family go out on first class ticket as you are travelling all over the world. You borrow another N5 to N6 billion and buy a private jet. We have very many people in Nigeria who you think are very rich. But, who are really bankrupt, because everything about them are being financed by bank debts.
“When one debt matures they have enough connections to call another bank, borrow and refinance that debt. They are not earning anything.
“They have private jets. They have yachts. Their families travel first class. They go abroad and stay in the most expensive hotels. It happens. And it is happening today.
“What do you think of those people? When you think about such people, do you think they are foolish people? Or do you think they are wise people? So, what would you say of a country that does this? So, you feel growth by borrowing money, pay salaries, people spend money on pure consumption spending, nothing is produced. It’s fine.
It’s short term. But, it is not sustainable. How much can you continue to borrow and consume without producing?”

Hillary Clinton Admits Ignoring Doctor's Orders To Rest
Hillary Clinton says she didn't think her pneumonia diagnosis was "that big a deal" before she was taken ill during a 9/11 memorial event.
The Democratic presidential nominee vowed to be back on the campaign trail within days after she was forced to cancel planned events following her near-collapse on Sunday.
The 68-year-old admitted she had ignored doctor's orders to rest before she 'overheated' and felt faint at the 9/11 service in New York. Asked when she will return to campaigning, Clinton told CNN: "Well, it will be in the next couple of days. I just want to get this over and done with and get back on the trail as soon as possible. I just didn't think it was going to be that big a deal."
The Clinton campaign acknowledged it may have been too slow disclosing her pneumonia diagnosis. She was diagnosed with the lung infection on Friday.
Clinton spokesman Brian Fallon told MSNBC: "I think that in retrospect, we could have handled it better in terms of providing more information more quickly." Earlier on Monday, Clinton took to Twitter to assure her millions of followers she was OK.
She wrote: "Thanks to everyone who’s reached out with well wishes! I’m feeling fine and getting better.

Edo 2016: APGA Candidate Wants Election Shifted Again Because Of Students Writing GCE
Osaro Onaiwu, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate in the governorship election in Edo rescheduled to Sept. 28, has called for further shift of the exercise to Oct. 1.
It will be recalled that INEC on Thursday announced the postponement of the election fixed for Saturday to Sept. 28, following insecurity alert by security agencies.
Mr. Onaiwu told journalists in Benin yesterday that a further shift in the date of poll was necessary as Sept. 28 was the day students sitting for the ongoing General Certificate of Education (GCE) across the country would write Physics.
He said Oct.1 was the “earliest possible date” for the election. Mr. Onaiwu said the shift would afford eligible voters among the students to participate in the election. According to him, education is number one pillar in APGA’s manifesto, and the authorities must be wary of threats from some of the students that they would sue INEC if they were prevented from voting in the election.
I Will Not Serve In Buhari's Government, Even If Called Upon - Okonjo-Iweala
Nigeria’s former Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has said she would not serve in the government of President Muhammadu Buhari, even if invited. Okonjo-Iweala said this yesterday during a programme on Al Jazeera, The Stream.
She said this was because Nigeria boasts of competent people. She said it was better to allow those managing the economy now to do the best they could, noting that there could be solutions to the present economic decline in the country.
“I have spent my time contributing to the country. “It will be better to live those managing the economy to do what they know how to do. There can be solutions. I am not a typical politician. “I went in as a technocrat. I think on the continent we have seen a period when the economy was doing well. In the last two years we have been experiencing challenges. We need to focus on the basics, which are macro-economics, she said. Do continue...
“You must get the fundamentals like having a stable exchange rate and having inflation under control.
“I served my country for seven years and it was a great honour.
“The second time was very tough but it is still an honour. “I am not the only person who is a repository of knowledge. “There are other people who can equally try their hands in running the economy.
“I will advice young people not to wait for employment. “They should create jobs to employ six people or more.
“During my time in government, we had a programme called ‘You Win’ designed to support young entrepreneurs.
“The whole idea was to have a business plan competition. “The idea was that they should create jobs.“And each created nine to 10 jobs.
“The World Bank did an evaluation of it and found it good.
“I do believe that the government should come in. “We started a peer to peer mentoring.
“Now, one of the things I want to say is that creating employment is not only about struggles, it is about managing success.”
Over 4000 Workers Recruited By Jonathan May Lose Jobs
The jobs of 4,904 civil servants, who were recruited by the Federal Civil Service Commission in the last administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, are under threat as the Federal Character Commission has queried the exercise.
It was learnt on Monday that moves by the Federal Civil Service Commission to sack the workers had led to a crisis in the civil service.
No fewer than 247 of the affected workers had petitioned the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission over a plan by the FCSC to sack them, The Punch reports.
The Acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, Dr. Shettima Abba, had queried the Chairman of the FCSC, Mrs. Joan Ayo, for alleged violation of the principle of federal character in the employment of the civil servants in a letter dated May 3, 2016.
He said the recruitment, which took place between 2013 and 2015, was characterised by a flagrant abuse of the Federal Character principle.
Abba alleged that the recruitment was tilted in favour of the South-South geopolitical zone against other parts of the country.
He pointed out that the South-South got 33.6 per cent of those employed as against the 26.2 per cent allotted to applicants from the North-East, North-West and North-Central geopolitical zones.
He directed the civil service commission’s boss to ensure that the perceived inequality was addressed in the 2016 recruitment by the commission in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Character Commission.
Abba stated, “The Federal Character Commission has viewed and observed with concern the recruitment exercises undertaken by the Federal Civil Service between 2013 and 2015, which glaringly is lopsided and grossly abused the principle of Federal Character to which all institution have subscribed.
“The recruitment which recorded the engagement of about 4,904 workers, threw away all common sense and wisdom of national cohesion and integration by favouring some states to the detriment of others.
“We are worried that if this trend is allowed to continue, then some sections of the country may not only feel alienated but may feel insecure by the action of people in authority.
“It is inconceivable and a gross injustice for a geopolitical zone to be allocated 33.6 per cent of the total candidates recruited as against 26.2 per cent for three zones combined, North-East, North-West and North-Central.
“We further request without prejudice that all processes must involve the Federal Character Commission for advice and strict adherence to the principle of federal character as contained in our circular on guidelines and procedure for recruitment.”
But the spokesperson for the FCSC, Dr. Abel Oruche, told a Punch correspondent on the telephone that only those employed irregularly would be removed.
He also said he was not aware of the interrogation of the chairman or any other officer of the commission by the ICPC.
He stated, “I’m not aware that anybody was interrogated by the ICPC or whether the chairman was invited. Nobody interrogated the chairman of the FCSC, any commissioner or any official.”
Oruche explained that some people were employed without vacancies, adding that the staff audit was aimed at fishing out such people.
He stated, “The press statement we sent was not reactive, but to explain to people what we have done and what we are doing to avoid rumour or insinuations.
“It is an ongoing audit to make sure that all those people, who were employed irregularly without existing vacancies, are removed. We didn’t issue the statement because somebody called us.”

College Students Left With Serious Injuries After Trying To Have S3x For The First Time;
Shy Learners will always learn the hard way.
A couple having sex for the first time were left with serious injuries - after the man used a plastic bag as a condom.
The unnamed duo, who were having intercourse for the first time, were treated in hospital for genital lesions, abrasions and bleeding.
Doctor Nguyen The Luong, deputy director of Hanoi Kidney Hospital, said that the couple were both college students. He said the male was too shy to go out and buy condoms.
Dr Luong added that the pair, who live in Vietnam, have been examined and are on antibiotics to help them recover.
According to the doctor, plastic bags, having no elasticity and lubrication, are entirely unsuitable for this purpose.
They can cause scratches and vaginal tearing and are not suitable for the protection offered by condoms.
Scientist Warn Trump & Putin May Have Poisoned Hillary Clinton; lolz...but how?? She go chop for their house?
One of the US’s most well-known scientists has warned that Hillary Clinton may have been poisoned by Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.
Bennet Omalu, the famous pathologist who discovered chronic traumatic encephalopathy in the brains of deceased American football players, made the disturbing suggestion on Twitter.
‘I must advise the Clinton campaign to perform toxicologic analysis of Ms Clinton’s blood,’ he wrote. ‘It is possible she is being poisoned.’
Then, in a second tweet, he added: ‘I do not trust Mr Putin and Mr Trump. With those two all things are possible.’
Trump has, in the past, expressed admiration for the Russian president – and his links to the Kremlin have been well documented.
And while Omalu’s warning sounds a little far-fetched – and was treated with more than a bit of scepticism in the replies – Putin has been accused of having his adversaries poisoned in the past.
Most prominently, an inquiry in January implicated Putin in the death of Alexander Litvinenko, a former KGB operative who died in London in 2006.

Mother Shoves Crucifix Down Daughter's Throat Because She Thought She Was Possessed
A woman has killed her daughter by shoving a crucifix down her throat because she thought her daughter was possessed, police say.
Juanita Gomez, 50, allegedly shoved the crucifix and religious medallion down her daughter Geneva's throat and confessed to police who had come to her Oklahoma City home Saturday afternoon on a welfare check.
Gomez reportedly told cops she began suspecting her daughter was 'possessed by the devil' the day before, and police noted that the mother had bruises and swelling on her hands and arms.
The mother said that she pushed the religious medallion down her 33-year-old daughter's throat until she saw blood come out.
The police report states that the mother then said she placed her daughter's body in the position of the cross and washed her.
Police found a large cross on top of Geneva's body and major trauma to her face and neck.
Juanita also admitted punching her daughter several times. She said the bruises on her hands were from trying to 'rid Satan from her daughter's body.'
She was charged with homicide and remains in jail on no bond.
Naming Dog Buhari Has Nothing To Do With The President- Police
President Muhammadu Buhari has been dissociated from the case involving a man who named his pet dog ‘Buhari’ by the Lagos Zone 2 Command of the Nigeria Police
The police, in a statement dated August 29 and signed by the zonal Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said the ‘Buhari’ in question was not President Buhari .
According to the police, a son to the Alhaji Buhari had reported the case to the police claiming that the arrested Igbo man was referring to his father. Continue....
Adejobi, in the statement, said “The attention of the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Command, Lagos, AIG Abdulmajid Ali, has been drawn to series of uncomplimentary comments and publications in respect of the case of a man, Joe Chinakwe, who was arrested and charged to court by the Ogun State police command for naming his dog “Buhari” and wishes to state categorically that the matter was grossly misconstrued.”
Adejobi further added that “the zonal command wishes to clarify and set the records straight that the case, as it was erroneously perceived, has nothing to do with the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, but with one Alhaji Buhari, the biological father of the complainant, Alhaji Halilu Umar, all of Ketere Area, Sango Otta in Ado-Odo Otta Local Government Area of Ogun State.”
He continued saying, “Also, it’s fundamental to state that the man was not charged to court for christening his dog ‘Buhari’, but for the behaviour of the suspect and circumstances surrounding the matter when Mr Joe, who had been having conflicts with his neighbour (complainant) named his dog, Buhari, his neighbour’s father’s name inscribed Buhari on both sides of the said dog, and started parading the dog with swagger amongst his neighbours and/traders who are mostly Northerners.”
“The said Joe was actually attacked by the people around for his action before he was rescued by the police. The timely intervention of the police prevented a crisis or inter-tribal crisis in the area.
“The zonal command, therefore, seeks the understanding of members of the public on the action of the man, which was capable of causing a breach of public peace, an offence the man, Joe Chinakwe, was actually charged for under Section 249(d) of the Criminal Code.
“The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 2 Lagos, AIG Absulmajid Ali, appeals to the general public to understand the action of the police in the matter, which is in consonance with the primary duties of the Nigeria Police as enshrined in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and accept it as a professional way of preventing total breakdown of law and order.”

Dad Slaughters Three Young Children, Wife In Bloody Murder-Suicide
This is the family at the centre of what police suspect to be bloody murder-suicide. Alan Hawe is believed to have slaughtered his wife and three young children before turning the knife on himself.
Police found a man in his 40s, his wife, who was in her 30s, and their three sons, aged 13, 11, and six, at the County Cavan home dead.
Teacher Alan Hawe, from Barconny, in Ballyjamesduff, stabbed his wife first before knifing his three boys at the family home this morning.
Local man Mr Hawe, who is well known in the area, is believed to have turned the knife on himself after killing his partner and three boys.
Heartbreaking images emerged this evening as several coffins were removed from the house and placed into a waiting convoy of hearses.
A source said: “Alan Hawe was well known in the area and was well respected because of his work in the school and also in GAA circles.”
In a press briefing at Ballyjamesduff Garda Station, Assistant Commissioner John O’Driscoll said two of the deceased were found in a downstairs room and three were found upstairs.
A Garda spokesman said: "The Garda investigation is ongoing but at this stage we are not looking for anyone else in relation to the deaths."
At a press conference, Assistant Commissioner O'Driscoll added "We believe all the answers are in that house.
"We are working along very definite lines of inquiry.
"One person in that house may have been responsible for the death of the others."
